Time: 13:00 - 14:00
Venue: Great Court, St Lucia campus

The Great Court Race was first organised for the 75th anniversary of the University of Queensland and is a well established tradition after 25 years.

The race covers a 636 metre lap of the Great Court and is based on the historic Cambridge University race, as depicted in the film Chariots of Fire.

The event program also includes a sprint race involving a “gift” style handicap system, a novelty sack race, and an inter-college relay race.

The event is open to all UQ students and generally attracts a healthy crowd of cheering spectators, and a number of special VIP guests.
