Started in 1991, the Colin Clark Memorial Lecture is held annually to recognise the contribution to economics made by Dr Colin Clark, the UQ staff member whose work on national income accounting was fundamentally important to the development of macroeconomics and central to the approach of John Maynard Keynes that was so widely adopted after the Second World War.

 

In addition to the Lecture, and to celebrate the Lecture's 20th year, in conjunction with The University of Queensland’s Centenary the UQ School of Economics has planned a full symposium titled ‘Economic Measurement in the 21st Century.  This symposium will commence at 10:00am and conclude at 4:30pm. 

Guests are welcome to attend the full symposium and lecture or just the Colin Clark Lecture.

This is an event for UQ alumni and those with a professional interest in economics.

Cost: Symposium and Colin Clark Lecture (inclusive of lunch) $150; Colin Clark Lecture and lunch $120.
