Mrs Irina Bokova, Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) is visiting the University of Queensland where UNESCO's 2010 World Press Freedom Day (WPFD) will be held for the first time in the Pacific region.

Mrs Bokova is the first woman to hold the post of Director-General of UNESCO and will deliver her Oration as part of the official public opening of 2010 WPFD.
