Speaker: Professor Peter Halley

This talk will detail research work at UQ on biodegradable and sustainable plastics. In particular, the talk will highlight commercial biodegradable plastics packaging products developed from work at UQ, current research for sustainable plastics for agriculture and new bio-based plastics research. The talk will also describe worldwide trends away from just biodegradable plastics to a wider variety of sustainable plastics and processes that minimise plastics’ environmental footprint.
