Explore different aspects of the campus on foot with a range of different walks and tours.

Be taken on a guided tour to the UQ lakes, the rainforest boardwalk and the riverbank where you will learn more about the land and water management of the site, and experience the unique beauty of this riverside peninsula.

Dr Rhyl Hinwood AM was commissioned as UQ sculptor in 1976 and since then has created more than 300 artworks for The University of Queensland. In 2001, Dr Hinwood was awarded the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Philosophy for her outstanding contribution to the University and to the visual arts in Queensland, and in 2006 was appointed a Member in the General Division of the Order of Australia.

See how 35mm films are screened, enter the production box to see where all the action happens, have your own moment on stage and explore the orchestra pit when Schonell manager/projectionist and technician Ross Martin (who has worked at the theatre for 20 years) takes you on a backstage tour. And.....keep an eye out to see if our resident ghost Sophear provides an encore.

The AIBN is an exciting research institute which abandons traditional boundaries to focus research effort into areas that will provide great benefit for human health, manufacturing, information technology and the environment. Discover the world-class research facility comprising specialist facilities such as: Cell and tissue culture facilities, nanoparticle production and analysis capabilities, Polymer synthesis and characterisation, microanalysis and Ultra-High Performance Flow Cytometry.

Tours occur every half an hour, starting from 10.30 with the last session occurring at 15.30.

This tour will provide fresh insight into the ideas that inspired the architecture of one of Australia’s greatest campus settings.
