Welcome to the Centre's Newsletter!

Elske van de Fliert, our Centre Director is currently in Rome for the XIII United Nations Inter-Agency Round Table presenting the background paper, Mainstreaming Communication for Development in Policies and Programmes. She is also special rapporteur at that meeting, which we tell you more about in the next issue. The CfCSC has won a tender for the project Adoption processes to enhance uptake of forage tree legumes in Indonesia. Elske van de Fliert will be working in the project for two years to improve capacity amongst local partners.

CSC PhD graduate Nurul Hilmiati is working with A/Professor Elske van de Fliert in the project Improving smallholder cattle fattening system based on forage tree legume diets
She is conducting a Participatory Opportunities and Needs Assessment in four project sites. Read about her work as a veterinarian and CSC practitioner in Indonesia.  

In Student Spotlight we introduce you to Fr. Ambrose Pereira from India. Fr. Ambrose is a CSC Masters student, who has lived for the last 15 years in the Solomon Island working with youth.
