November 2016

Dear friends,

We are excited to announce the publication of Methodological Reflections on Researching Communication and Social Change, the latest title in our Palgrave Studies in CSC book series. Edited by Norbert Wildermuth & Teke Ngomba, this new text is highly relevant to students, researchers and practitioners who wish to engage in critical reflection of key CSC methodologies.

This month we congratulate two of our most recent PhD graduates, Dr Tamara Plush and Dr Steven Sam, whose research projects both critically explored the link between communication tools and transformational change. Tamara's research revealed insights into participatory video as facilitated by practitioners globally, while Steven's project shed light on youth mobile phone use in post-conflict Sierra Leone.

We also catch up with a couple of students of our Master's program who are putting their CSC skills to good use in the field. Alumna Shanti Des Fours tells us about her work coordinating and adapting a community micro-finance project in Byron Bay. Meanwhile Cass Vickers shares her experiences collaborating on a unique storytelling project designed to change community perceptions of homelessness.

As always, we love to hear from you. Please contact us through the links below to get in touch or share your thoughts.
