May 2016

Hello!

In this edition of Student Spotlight we catch up with two of our former CSC postgraduate students. Teacher Alana Phelan talks about her work at one of Brisbane's most diverse high schools, and her involvement in the Free Mojgan campaign. Plus, we feature a Q&A with Chelsey Parish on her communications work for the UNDP in Laos.

Also this month, we welcome new PhD student Tarni Cooper to the Centre, a veterinarian experienced in communication for development (C4D) and agricultural research for development (R4D). Tarni's research will look at how small-scale livestock farmers can respond to the threat of antimicrobial resistance.

In research news, we profile a recently completed ARC Linkage project, led by Centre Associate Dr Aparna Hebbani, looking into the employment experiences of refugees in South East Queensland.

Find the latest CSC related jobs, conferences, grants and events in Opportunities. You can also find out more about careers in communication for social change

As always, we love to hear from you. Please contact us through the links below to get in touch or share your thoughts.
