June 2015

Hello everyone!

Our featured opportunity this month is an internship with the Asia Pacific Malaria Elimination Network (APMEN). The position will be focused on communication projects related to the upcoming East Asia Summit in November.

In Student Spotlight we talk to CfCSC alumni Erdenebolor Baast about his work supporting Mongolia's nomadic herders. We also catch up with current masters student Marilyn Zhang who is interning with APNIC, helping to recognise ICT innovators through this year's ISIF Awards.

There are details of some great events coming up From The Field including conferences, a participatory video webinar and the next C4D Network Oceania presentation

Masters students and alumni - have you filled in our online survey yet? We are considering adding an additional option to our Masters program and would love to hear your thoughts. It will only take a couple of minutes to complete and your input will be greatly appreciated.

This month we sadly bid farewell to our talented Communication and Research Officer Samantha Ryan, who is heading to the Solomon Islands to work for Save the Children. Thank you Sam for all the skills, energy and dedication you have brought to the centre over the past two years. Stepping into the role is Laura McDowell who joins us from the Northern Territory where she was coordinating the Pintubi Anmatjere Warlpiri (PAW) radio network.
