Founded in 2002, with Professor Jacquie Rand as Director, the Centre is committed to making a difference in the health of our beloved pets, enriching the human-animal relationship for the benefit of animals and the community and finding ways to reduce the number of unwanted pets.  The Centre is internationally renowned for its studies in feline diabetes and obesity, and is fostering new areas of study to prevent unwanted pets and enrich the human-animal bond.
