Big Projects - From fighter aircraft and navy ships to soldier systems, the Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO) is Australia’s largest program management, logistics and engineering services organisation. DMO has around 7,000 people employed in more than 40 locations throughout Australia and overseas. We are responsible for acquiring and sustaining the equipment used by the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
Big Budgets - If the DMO were a private company it would be one of the largest on the Australian Stock Exchange. It has an annual budget of over $9 billion, and will manage over $100 billion worth of acquisition and sustainment business over the next 10 years. This includes Navy ships and submarines, fighter aircraft, Army combat vehicles and electronic warfare systems.

The DMO graduate and undergraduate programs provide you with the opportunity to use the skills you acquired at university, while building on your experiences.
You will work with expert teams and a mentor to ensure you gain the most from the program. Your work will also contribute to nationally significant projects supporting the ADF that are complex and highly valued.
Career Opportunities: The 18-month graduate program consists of three work rotations incorporating both on and off the job learning and development including assistance to achieve industry based professional recognition. The DMO Institute, a virtual corporate university, offers learning and development opportunities from practitioner through to postgraduate level in all key DMO disciplines. Our cadetship scheme (undergraduates) provides real life work experience and financial support while you complete university.
