campus kindy's special events

the playscapes

Campus Kindergarten was involved in a year long project with the first year architecture students at the University of Qld to design and construct two new Playscapes at the centre. Over one hundred architecture students under the direction of Michael Dickson engaged in a cooperative creative project to build two exciting new play areas at the centre.

In the Pre-Kindy area the focus was on colour, the senses, belonging and play.  The Kindy area focussed on adventure, science, engineering, nature and sounds.  The Uni students engaged with staff and children to design and build an amazing new play area that will be constructed over a couple of months.

working bees

The centre runs a number of working bees where families support the centre by their physical efforts.  Over the past five years the centre has seen amazing changes and development thanks tot he commitment and dedication of many families.  What is enjoyed today is the result of the hard work of many years of family support at working bees.  And what will enjoyed in the future is being crated today.  It is part of the great cycle of community that is Campus Kindy.

Working bees are fun events and usually have a strong social side with an opportunity to meet other parents and form new friendships.
