Operation Details

Campus Kindergarten operates as a Creche and Kindergarten affiliated Kindergarten and a long-day care centre. The centre caters for three age groups:

• Children remain with their class for the year and each group moves to the next class at the beginning of the year.
• Campus Kindergarten offers a two, three and five day program as follows:

• Campus Kindergarten is open for 48 weeks of the year. The centre closes for four weeks over Christmas.
• An early childhood education program is implemented during the four State school terms. Optional Vacation Care is available for during the school holidays.
  
• The daily management of the centre is the responsibility of the Director, Megan Gibson, or in her absence the Deputy Director, Anissa Eglington.
  

Creche and Kindergarten Affiliation

The kindergarten rooms are affiliated with the Creche and Kindergarten Association. This affiliation is significant for Campus Kindergarten for a number of reasons, including professional recognition and invaluable support from C and K through an early childhood education consultant. In addition the centre receives State government funding for the teacher and assistant’s salaries in the Kindergarten classrooms.

In order to comply with C and K affiliation requirement Campus Kindergarten adheres to a number of comprehensive guidelines and policies. This assures that the highest standard of early childhood educational program is offered and promotes best practice in management.

The Kindergarten program operates from 8.00 am to 1.30pm daily, with the teacher and assistant utilising the remainder of the day for planning, preparation, documentation, room team meetings and administration.

Hours of Opening

• 8.00am-5.30pm
  
• Children encouraged to arrive between 8.00am-9.00am
  
• Collection of children encouraged between 2.30pm-5.25pm
  
• Families are asked to have left the centre by 5.30pm please.
