CAAS provides a unique environment for a wide variety of research projects. Research conducted within CAAS includes:
animal nutrition, metabolism and growth, health and disease, behaviour and welfare, biosecurity, reproduction, and food safety.
The facilities’ flexible design and extensive resources allows CAAS to accommodate a wide range of animal species.
CAAS provides a biosecure/biocontainment research environment, with experienced and qualified staff that are
able to provide high quality support to all phases of research projects. CAAS has been designed to be the ideal facility to
conduct animal research in the commercial, government, education or industry sectors.
CAAS is a complex large animal research facility, compliant with Federal and State Health, Safety and Environmental
Legislation. This dynamic research facility is vital and will enhance and promote Australian animal production into the future.
