The UQ Boilerhouse Community Engagement Centre (formerly Community Service and Research Centre) was developed by The University of Queensland’s Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences with assistance from the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International & Development). Since then the Boilerhouse has built its research profile, has developed wide reaching community teaching programs and has been involved in successful community projects. Under the direction of Associate Professor Michael Cuthill it continues to explore creative ways to bring people together to address local issues.
