Profile and Research Interests
 
At the end of 2006, Bettina was one of the first nurses to graduate from UQ's Master of Nursing in the field of Chronic Disease Management and was endorsed as a Nurse Practitioner by the Queensland Nursing Council in early 2007. She is currently employed as a Nurse Practitioner at the Department of Nephrology at Princess Alexandra Hospital where she helped establish the first multidisciplinary chronic kidney disease clinic in Australia.
 
Bettina has worked in all areas of adult nephrology nursing in both the public and private sectors. She has been employed in senior management positions and in the tertiary sector doing both teaching and research.
 
Bettina was made Adjust Senior Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at UQ in 2007. She is Treasurer of the Queensland Branch of the Renal Society of Australasia and Newsletter sub-editor for the Australian Nurse Practitioners Association.
