Alex Forrest

Alex S. Forrest BDSc, GCEd

Research Interests: Digital imaging techniques in forensic odontology, forensic facial reconstruction, problem-based learning in education.

Present appointments:

• Lecturer in Oral Biology, School of Dentistry, University of Queensland
• P/T Lecturer in Human Anatomy, Dept of Anatomical Sciences, University of Queensland
• Consultant Forensic Odontologist, The John Tonge Centre, Queensland

Alex has had a broad background in dentistry, including government practice (Darwin, Flying Dental Service Cairns, Brisbane), private practice and University teaching. He is currently studying for an MDSc at Queensland University Dental School. He is at present the Consultant Forensic Odontologist to the John Tonge Centre for Forensic Sciences in Queensland.

He has had experience in over 150 forensic cases, including the Blackhawk Helicopter Disaster in Far North Queensland.
