Staff in the AGL are active in research in a variety of areas of animal health and production, ranging from cattle tick population genetics through to the identification of mutations affecting meat quality and muscle growth in cattle. We undertake research consultancies for breed societies as well as basic and applied research projects funded by Cooperative Research Centres, animal industry RDCs and other sources.
