Scott Burrows

Professor Scott Burrows is Group Leader of the Cellular Immunology Laboratory at QIMR.

His interests are in the fields of immunology and virology, particularly in the area of CD8+ T cell control of Epstein-Barr virus infection.

Much of the work has been basic immunology research, with relevance to all areas of T cell immunity including tumour and transplantation immunology.

His group has made major contributions in the area of antigen presentation and recognition by T cells.

He was involved in the initial mapping of the 1st Epstein-Barr virus T cell epitopes, a critical step for the advancement of the field.
