Dr. Mark Davies (NHMRC Training)

Dr. Mark Davies is utilising next generation sequencing technologies to define the genomic architecture of streptococci from regions endemic for Streptococcal infection. Apart from unearthing the genetic variability of these human pathogens, these analyses will aid in determining the efficacy of current therapeutic approaches within bacterial populations where strain diversity is the highest. Dr Davies is an NHMRC Biomedical Training Fellow and is currently based at The Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, Cambridge, UK.
