Professor Jenny Stow’s research focus is on protein trafficking in human and animal cells, a process that underlies all cellular functions.
Prof. Stow is particularly interested in the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines from macrophages, which allows cells of the immune system to communicate and to mount inflammatory responses.
Prof. Stow aims to uncover the genes, molecules, and subcellular compartments that function in this process to develop new therapeutic strategies for infectious diseases and chronic inflammatory diseases
