|Bachelor of Applied Science student Grant Macqueen in sorghum crop|
There is a wide variety of scholarships available to students studying within the School of Agriculture and Food Sciences and the Faculty of Science. Applications for scholarships for Semester 1, 2016 are open now. The SAFS scholarship applications close 28 March 2016.
Students are encouraged to view the available Scholarships and if eligible, apply. Also look at the prizes offered by the School. You may be eligible to win one of these. Look, also, at the Scholarships advertised by UQ Central and those advertised by the Faculty of Science.
Here are just a few of the currently available scholarships:
- David Farrell Postgraduate Award
- James and Everingham Bursary
- Maria Vasas Scholarship in Equine Science
- Peter Whiteman Memorial Bursary
- Robert Philp Scholarship
- SAFS Honours Scholarships (school based)
- Slade Scholarship
You should read the scholarship information carefully for closing dates, eligibility criteria, and required documentation. Please ensure that you include any documentation that you feel will support your application, even if it is not requested. Eligibility criteria should be addressed thoroughly in your application and supported with documentation. If you are applying for more than one Scholarship, a separate application will be required for each scholarship.
