A Blackboard community site has been established for the GattonConversations program hosted by the School of Agriculture and Food Sciences.
GattonConversations is a weekly 90 minute meeting with students to communicate and discuss information aimed at enhancing the student experience in their first year on campus. This involves presentations and discussion sessions delivered by a range of academic and support staff. The program is designed to deal with a range of issues which typically occur in the lives of first year students, and will be adapted to cater for their needs as they develop. These sessions are timetabled for 3:00 – 4:30 pm on Wednesdays in Building 8117 Room 219 (Management Studies 2nd Floor). Echo360 is being used to record these meetings and link them to the Blackboard site to allow for broader access. A discussion board has been enabled to provide another means of input, and it is hoped that external students will also benefit from this program.
There are plans to expand this project to include more than first year students, we hope that this will evolve naturally.
Each meeting has a Q&A session, so bring your questions with you, and get the advice and assistance from our expert staff.
