FEAST of Opportunities

84 High School students had an action packed five days taking part in the five day residential camp, FEAST (Future Experiences in Agriculture, Science and Technology). They enjoyed hearing from keynote speakers, taking part in activities and tours and also having a full night time schedule that included a UQ Sport challenge, taekwondo, trivia and a semi-formal dinner.
Activities included health check on a waterway, wildlife, soils and the environment, animal reproduction, animal anatomy and structure, fascinating pollen and genetics, parasitology, focus on forensics, food science, occupational health and safety and tours of the dairy, Veterinary Medical Centre, Institute of Molecular Bioscience and the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology.
Future Experiences in Agriculture, Science and Technology (FEAST) is a five day residential program designed to inspire and inform high school students of the range of exciting and rewarding science careers in the agriculture, animal, plant and food sectors.
