This project aims to create an inventory of the processes by which Indigenous and Other-than-Indigenous work together within their communities to generate social change through creative acts of passionate resistance. This project will conduct a community cultural-asset audit to identify what processes women foster and what resources they access to advance their initiatives towards social justice including the eradication of colonialism, nuclear weapons, poverty and violence. Particular attention is paid to the use of the performative arts in cross-cultural communication. Then to formulate strategies which might assist Other-than-Indigenous researchers, community development workers and consultants, and government and industry personnel to develop perceptive and culturally competent partnerships in the Oceania region.
