Major program developments:

Proposals that involve major program development must first be endorsed by the University Senior Management Committee before being considered by Committee for Academic Programs Policy.  This is required for:- 

New Coursework Programs - Form 1 and Forms 7 (rules) and 11 (new courses).
New Majors/Fields in an Existing Program  - Form 2. Also Form 7 (rules) and Form 11 (new courses) if necessary.
Structural Changes to an Existing Program - Form 3. Also Form 7 (rules) and Form 11 (new courses) if necessary.
Discontinuations - Form 6.
A new offshore offering of a program (whether a new or existing program) - See HUPP 3.20.3 (Appendix D) for submission requirements. For new programs also use Form 1 and Forms 7 (rules) and 11 (new courses).

New Dual Degrees - submit to the Committee for Academic Programs Policy using Form 4.
Program Rule Amendments - Program rule changes that do not include policy changes are submitted to the Programs SubCommittee using Form 7. Program rule amendments should not be confused with changes to University policy General University or Award Rules.  These proposals require submission to the Committee for Academic Programs Policy. 
Nomenclature Changes - submit to the Programs SubCommittee using Form 5.
Non-award Studies - submit to the Programs SubCommittee using Form 10.
Courses Offered in Non-standard Teaching Periods - submit to the Programs SubCommittee.
Variations to the Academic Calendar - submit to the Programs SubCommittee.
Changes to Courses with Cross-Faculty Implications - submit to the Programs SubCommittee.
