The Master Plan, which was endorsed by UQ’s Senate on December 4, 2017, sets out a long-term vision to guide use and development of the St Lucia campus and associated precincts for the next 20 years and beyond. It supports the ongoing evolution of the campus as an environment to support learning and research – one that is well-integrated with the wider city and a good neighbour to its local community (see Regional Context).

The endorsed Master Plan, which includes a number of key amendments to reflect community feedback, will inform a new Site Development Plan for the campus that will provide clear guidelines for the University Senate to assess development under the conditions of a Community Infrastructure Designation.
