The Master Plan will set out a long-term vision to guide use and development of the St Lucia campus and associated precincts for the next 20 years and beyond. It will support the ongoing evolution of the campus as an environment to support learning and research – one that is well-integrated with the wider city and a good neighbour to its local community (see Regional Context).

When complete, The Master Plan will inform a new Site Development Plan for the campus that will provide a framework for the University Senate to assess development under the conditions of a Community Infrastructure Designation.

In addition to the main St Lucia campus, the master planning process will include consideration of University land holdings in the Long Pocket, Hawken Drive and Avalon Theatre precincts.
