Places to shop at the St Lucia campus

» Bookshops
The University Bookshop on the St Lucia campus stocks textbooks, academic publications, software, tapes, stationery, novels and other publications of general interest, and will take orders for books not in stock. It operates a mail-order service as well as branches at UQ Ipswich and UQ Gatton. The Bookshop carries a range of UQ souvenirs including clothing.

The Student Union bookshop in the Union Complex, St Lucia buys and sells second-hand textbooks and discounted stationery. It also sells calculators, blank cassettes, batteries, disks, lab coats and surgical instruments. It opens 8.30am–5pm weekdays throughout the year.

During semester, Wednesday markets are held on the St Lucia campus in the Union Complex area.

The UQ Tennis Centre Pro Shop provides discount tennis equipment, accessories and University apparel to UQ students, UQ Sport members and the general public.

The UQ Sport Activity Hub is your one-stop shop for everything sport-related on campus. The Activity Hub also sells UQ Sport’s popular collegiate range of hoodies and t-shirts.

» Post Office
On the St Lucia campus, a Post Office in the J. D. Story Building basement opens 9am–5pm Monday to Friday. It offers banking and bill payment services plus all postal facilities including passport applications by appointment.

The St Lucia campus is close to two major suburban shopping centres, Westfield Indooroopilly and Toowong Village. City Council buses link the University with both centres.
 

» Banks
 

• The Commonwealth Bank operates a branch in the Union Complex. Automatic teller machines are located in the Union Complex and outside the J. D. Story Building near the Student Centre entrance.

• The ANZ Bank operates a branch and an automatic teller machine in the Staff and Graduates Club Building, Staff House Road. Cantonese and Mandarin-speaking staff are available.

• The Bank of Queensland has automatic teller machines at the Main Refectory and The 2nd Degree Bistro & Bar in the Union Complex, the Physiology Refectory and Darwin's Cafe next to the Biological Sciences Library.
