The committee of The Ninth Biennial National Conference of the Association for Academic Language and Learning invites you to submit an abstract for consideration as:

  • Refereed papers
  • Non-refereed papers
  • Interactive or poster presentation

Abstracts should be around 250-300 words and should reflect a topic of high current interest in language and learning within the educational context. This may include projects or issues relevant to schools, vocational institutes, technical colleges and universities.

This could include presentations in the areas of:

  • Integrative or parallel programs with faculties
  • Learning from student experience feedback
  • Approaches to intervention- proactive vs. reactive
  • Evaluation as a learning tool
  • Models of support- What works?
  • Closing the loop between ALL staff and faculty staff
  • Learning opportunities from secondary or foundation programs
  • Building our understanding of multicultural environments and contexts

In particular, the Committee would like to see presentations that examine or profile an interest or issue, as well as offer recommendations and/or an evaluation of work or projects in this field.
